Accurate trade reconstruction

Tradovate's performance CSV shows all fills, but not the complete entry-to-exit journey. Imperial Analytics reconstructs your actual trades using FIFO accounting, ensuring accurate net positions and P&L attribution.

This means multi-leg entries and exits are correctly handled. Partial fills are combined into complete trade records. Holding times and P&L per trade are precisely calculated.

  • FIFO trade reconstruction (not LIFO or average-cost)
  • Multi-leg entry handling
  • Partial fill aggregation
  • Accurate trade duration
  • CME trading day grouping

Automatic commission calculation

Tradovate's CSV may or may not include commission data clearly. Imperial Analytics maintains accurate commission rates for Tradovate and applies them automatically on every import. Your net P&L is always correct.

Current rates: Tradovate standard commissions are applied per contract. If you negotiate custom rates, you can manually override them in your settings.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I export and import my Tradovate data?

You can import as frequently as you like. Many traders import weekly or monthly. Imperial Analytics deduplicates trades, so you won't create duplicate records if you re-upload the same date range.

Does Imperial Analytics integrate with Tradovate's live API?

Not yet, but live API integration is planned for Q4 2026. For now, CSV imports are the primary method. Each import is processed instantly, so the delay is minimal.

Can I import trades from multiple Tradovate accounts?

Yes. Imperial Analytics supports multi-account imports. Trades from each account are tracked independently, but you can view portfolio-level metrics aggregating all accounts.

What if I trade instruments Tradovate lists under a different symbol?

Imperial Analytics has a comprehensive instrument reference database covering all CME futures contracts, including micro contracts. Symbols are standardized automatically during import.
